Vancouver Gets a Brand-New Stage Tonight
Vancouver is getting something big. And it is finally here. The new Freedom Mobile Arch opens tonight at the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE), and the city is ready for a huge night. Still, PNE leadership stayed open with the city. Shelley Frost, the PNE President and CEO, said they kept council informed and supported throughout the process. And that helped the project move forward.
In total, the amphitheatre cost about $183 million. But now, it is ready to welcome crowds.
Big Summer Events Are Coming
The excitement does not stop with opening night. Instead, more events are already planned.
For example, the 2026 FIFA Fan Festival will take place this summer. It will be free and family-friendly. And it will show live FIFA matches on big screens.
