Surrey Police are investigating a suspected arson and vehicle vandalism near 145 Street and 91 Avenue. Police seek witnesses and video footage.

Vehicle Fire Sparks Police Investigation in Surrey

A late-night vehicle fire has sparked a police investigation in Surrey Central. Police are now looking for witnesses and video footage that could help identify the person responsible.

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a suspected arson and vandalism incident outside a home near 145 Street and 91 Avenue.

What Happened on October 28?

The incident took place at around 11:45 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

Police arrived at a home in the 14500 block of 91 Avenue after receiving a report of a vehicle fire. When officers reached the scene, they found a passenger vehicle engulfed in flames.

Meanwhile, Surrey Fire Service firefighters worked to put out the fire.

However, the damage did not stop there. A bus linked to the same property also had spray-painted markings.

Investigators believe a suspect damaged the bus before setting the vehicle on fire. The person then fled the area on foot.

Police Seek Witnesses and Video Footage

The investigation remains in its early stages. However, SPS Major Crime detectives are asking the public to help.

In particular, police want to hear from anyone who:

  • Saw someone acting suspiciously near the scene.
  • Has CCTV footage from nearby homes or businesses.
  • Has dashcam video from the area.
  • Was driving or walking near the location around the time of the incident.

Even a small detail could help investigators move forward.
