Residents of a Surrey neighbourhood woke up to a frightening scene after gunfire struck a home early Thursday morning.
Thankfully, no one was hurt. However, the incident has sparked a police investigation as officers work to uncover who was behind the shooting and why the property was targeted.
Gunfire Reported in Surrey Neighbourhood
The Surrey Police Service responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of 96 Avenue and 133A Street at approximately 6:07 a.m. on Thursday.
When officers arrived, they discovered damage to the outside of a residence caused by gunfire. At the time of the shooting, people were inside the home.
Fortunately, everyone escaped unharmed.
Police Investigating Possible Targeted Attack
Investigators have not yet determined a motive. However, early evidence suggests the shooting was not random.
