PlayStation Plus Drops August Lineup and Free Avatars
PlayStation Plus fans, gear up—Sony has just unveiled the August 2025 PlayStation Plus games along with exclusive 15th anniversary avatars, continuing a summer of surprises that celebrates 15 years of the subscription service.
If you’re a fan of immersive action, anime battles, or survival chaos, this month’s trio of games will not disappoint. And with anniversary avatars inspired by blockbuster franchises, there’s even more reason to log in.
What’s New for August?
Sony’s PlayStation Plus has been going strong since 2010, and August continues its streak of exciting monthly drops. Starting August 5, subscribers can download three new titles:
Lies of P (PS4/PS5)
DayZ (PS4)
My Hero One’s Justice 2 (PS4)
Each game brings something unique. From the dark, Pinocchio-inspired world of Lies of P to the cutthroat survival drama of DayZ, and the anime-fueled arena combat of My Hero One’s Justice 2—players will find something to love.
Anniversary Bonus: Free Fan-Favorite Avatars
In addition to the game drops, PlayStation is giving away free 15th anniversary avatars to all PS Plus members. These avatars highlight fan-favorite titles like:
Cyberpunk 2077
Hogwarts Legacy
God of War Ragnarök
Diablo IV
Twisted Metal
According to Adam Michel, PlayStation’s Director of Game Services, these avatars are Sony’s way of saying thank you to its loyal community. And the best part? They come at no additional cost.
Don’t Miss Out: Last Chance to Grab July Titles
Before diving into August’s picks, make sure to grab Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant before they leave the rotation. These July games will disappear from the PS Plus library on August 4, so add them while you can.
PlayStation Plus Keeps the Surprises Coming
Sony’s PS Plus strategy continues to blend nostalgia, value, and fresh content. With each monthly drop, members get a richer gaming experience—and August is no exception. As the service evolves, so does its ability to surprise and engage its growing base of players across the globe.
