The man became trapped under heavy equipment at a workplace on Barnsdale Road on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews rushed to the area, but the man could not be saved.
Emergency Crews Called to Barnsdale Road
Ottawa police said officers and emergency crews were called to Barnsdale Road near Highway 416 at about 12:30 p.m.
Paramedics later confirmed that the man had died at the scene.
According to Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps, the incident involved a truck bin.
