Delta police are investigating a suspicious death after a fire and a deceased adult woman were found in a field Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to the 6400 block of River Road at about 6:10 a.m. on Aug. 26. There, they found a fire and the woman’s body.
Police have not released the woman’s identity. Meanwhile, investigators are working to confirm who she was and determine what led to her death.
Investigators Seek Answers
At this point, police have not shared further details about how the woman died. However, investigators are examining the scene and the events that happened before the discovery.
As the investigation continues, police are asking the public for help. In particular, they want to hear from anyone who was in the area during the early morning hours.
Dashcam Video Could Help
Police are asking drivers who travelled along the 6400 block of River Road around the time of the incident to come forward.
Even a small detail could help investigators piece together what happened. In addition, anyone with dashcam footage from the area is urged to share it with police.
