For comparison, a 2016 Proof Strategies poll showed that 46% of Canadians trusted Trudeau shortly after his election, highlighting a notable decline in trust over time.

Trust in Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre Remains Steady

Meanwhile, trust levels in Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre have remained relatively stable, with 38% of Canadians trusting him in May 2025, a slight decrease from 40% in January.
