A Surrey man was critically injured in a stabbing; police have a person of interest in custody and seek witnesses to aid the investigation.

Surrey Man Hospitalized After Serious Stabbing Incident

On Tuesday afternoon, May 6, a man suffering from severe stab wounds to his torso entered the Surrey Police Service (SPS) District 1 office near King George Boulevard and 107A Avenue. Officers immediately administered emergency medical aid before he was transported by BC Emergency Health Services to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police Identify Crime Scene and Detain Person of Interest

Investigators located the probable stabbing site in the 10600-block of King George Boulevard. While canvassing for evidence and witnesses, Surrey police detained a person of interest. At this early stage, it is unclear if other suspects remain at large. The SPS Frontline Investigative Support Unit is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
