Surrey residents can enjoy free public swimming at outdoor pools from May 12, with more pools and spray parks opening later this summer.

Surrey Launches Free Outdoor Swimming Season Starting May 12

Surrey residents are invited to dive into summer with free public swimming at three outdoor pools beginning May 12. This initiative offers an excellent opportunity for families and individuals to stay active and cool without any cost.

Pool Opening Schedule and Locations

  • May 12: Bear Creek Pool, Greenaway Pool, Sunnyside Pool

  • May 31: Hjorth Road Pool

  • June 21: Holly Pool, Kwantlen Pool, Port Kells Pool, Unwin Pool

These pools will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with lane swimming available at select locations. Certified swim lessons through the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life program will be offered for a fee.

Spray Parks Opening May 16

Adding to the summer fun, Surrey’s spray parks will open on May 16, providing another refreshing option for residents to beat the heat.
