Canadian man Bryan Hayward arrested in major W5-led sexual assault probe involving drugging, abuse videos, and multiple criminal charges in Hamilton.

Hamilton police have arrested 36-year-old Bryan Hayward following a widescale investigation led by the W5 news program. Hayward faces multiple charges, including sexual assault, assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance, distribution of intimate images, and voyeurism.

W5’s Undercover Investigation Uncovers Extensive Abuse Network

The investigation, spearheaded by W5’s Avery Haines, involved months of undercover work infiltrating an online network where thousands of men allegedly drugged their wives or intimate partners and shared videos of the assaults worldwide. Hayward’s online profile revealed disturbing evidence, allegedly showing him drugging and assaulting at least five women.

Police Seize Evidence and Expand Investigation

Following a tip from W5, Hamilton police launched an investigation, culminating in a raid at Hayward’s home on May 16. Authorities seized electronic devices and drugs suspected of being used to incapacitate victims. Police are now analyzing this evidence to identify additional victims and the extent of the abuse.

Potential Additional Victims and Public Appeal

Hamilton police indicated that Hayward may have used online dating platforms to contact victims. Officials warn there could be more victims, including those unaware they have been abused. Investigators urge anyone with any connection to Hayward to come forward and assist with the ongoing inquiry.

Additional Charges Against Bryan Hayward

In addition to sexual assault-related charges, Hayward faces multiple other criminal allegations, such as operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, probation violations, and possession of controlled substances including methamphetamine, GHB, hydromorphone, and clonazepam.

Court Proceedings and Next Steps

Hayward made a brief appearance in Hamilton court, with his bail hearing postponed. The police continue their work to uncover the full scope of the criminal activity linked to this investigation.
