Imagine this: a warm summer night, a gentle breeze, and a big screen showing your favorite sci-fi flicks—all for free. That’s exactly what the Polygon Gallery is bringing back with its popular Deckchair Cinema event. This year, movie lovers can enjoy a stellar lineup of science fiction films every Thursday evening from July 3 to August 28, 2025, right on North Vancouver’s waterfront.
How to Join the Fun
Deckchair Cinema is entering its fourth year, and it promises to be just as magical as ever. The movies start after sundown, with music and tasty treats kicking off at 7:00 pm. Thanks to Strathcona Beer Company, refreshing drinks will also be available to keep you cool as you watch.
Tickets work on a donation basis, meaning you pay what you want to secure your spot. Plus, if you donate in advance, you can reserve a picnic bench for a comfy viewing experience. Just remember to bring your own chair, as seating is limited and not guaranteed.
