Bear Attack on Rural Property

First, a calm walk turned dangerous near Vanderhoof, B.C. Then, a man moved around his farm property with his two dogs off leash. Next, around 5 p.m. on Monday, a grizzly bear rushed in. Immediately, the bear attacked on the rural land.

Quick Escape Under Fence

Then, the situation changed fast. Next, the man reacted quickly and ran for a barbed-wire fence. After that, he pushed under it to get away. As a result, the bear broke off the attack. Then, the bear ran back into the area. Meanwhile, the man suffered a leg injury. However, he stayed conscious and safe overall.

Officials Search the Area

After that, Conservation Officers arrived at the scene. Also, RCMP officers joined the response. Then, both teams searched the area step by step. However, they did not find the grizzly bear. Meanwhile, they checked signs and tracks on the ground.
