One man is dead and two others are injured after a shooting at a Lambton College bar in Sarnia. Police investigation is ongoing with no arrests.

Shooting at Lambton College Bar Leaves One Dead

A late-night celebration turned tragic at a campus bar inside Lambton College in Sarnia. Shortly after midnight, gunfire broke out and changed everything in seconds. Meanwhile, police rushed in to respond to a chaotic and serious scene.

Emergency Call Came Just After Midnight

Officers from the Sarnia Police Service received a call at 12:52 a.m. on Friday. When they arrived, they found three people hurt. Additionally, officials reported that the injuries ranged from life-threatening to less serious.

At the same time, emergency crews quickly transported the victims to Bluewater Health for urgent care.

Young Man Identified After Tragic Outcome

A 20-year-old man from Sarnia, identified as Dane Nisbet, later died in hospital. However, two other victims survived their injuries. Police continue to support their recovery while they gather more details about what happened.

College Community Reacts with Shock

Meanwhile, Lambton College expressed deep sadness over the incident. The school closed its Sarnia campus for the day. Additionally, it offered counselling and support services to students and staff affected by the tragedy.

The college also stressed that the event was part of a student-related gathering. However, it made clear that the violence deeply impacted the entire community.

Police Say No Arrests Yet

As of Friday morning, no one remained in custody. Moreover, investigators continue to search for answers and possible suspects.

Police also emphasized that they have no evidence suggesting the shooting targeted the college or the crowd. Furthermore, they stated there is no sign of political motivation behind the incident.
